The son of man set me free
And just like that I’m free indeed
Not because of my deeds
But because he set me free!
It’s crazy to believe
My mind says it’s post-nut clarity
Says I’m abusing God’s grace
But Mercy said No!
Guilt tried visiting
When I refused to open
Condemnation tried to raise its head
But my Father has set me free!
I thought it’d be something dramatic
I was held bound for a long time
These shackles tied me down
And just like that You set me free.
What did I have to do?
Nothing in my own power
Just gazing at You
And you helped me believe.
I’ve been set free!
When I wasn’t even trying
The enemy thought he had me
But Jesus You say I am Yours.
This is my freedom
Because the son of man set me free
I am free indeed!
