Nothing is Perfect

If Life was a straight line 

Maybe I will be perfect.

If I could do all the things I plan to

Maybe my life will be perfect. 

If I could stop procrastinating,

Or maybe get some extra time.

If all my stars align, and 

I act on the advise from motivational speakers

Just maybe my life will be perfect.

If I can stop these bad habits 

And take a clean break from my distractions 

If I could fast and pray 

With a combination of smart & hard work

Maybe I will be perfect.

If I should get a mentor 

Or a good friend and wise confidant 

If I had some form of accountability 

And systems that ensure productivity 

Just maybe my life will be perfect.

If I have so much money 

That I never again have to worry 

If I could give to a good cause, and

Sponsor projects for a better humanity 

Will I still be with my flaws?

If I could love unconditionally 

If I could open up, and 

Be vulnerable to the one’s I love

Will I be perfect?

If I received all my flowers 

And people professed all their love to me.

If I had fame & influence 

And could teach people to live right 

Maybe my life will be perfect.

But sadly Nothing is Perfect
